TEN VALUES OF OUR NETWORK

Maybe you have wondered whether or not you want to connect with the Allison Park Leadership Network? Some have asked, ‘What is your network all about?” or “Would I fit with the values you hold?” These are great questions. So let me share or top ten ideals:

  1. We are focused on reaching THE ONE who is hurting, forgotten and far from God and helping them find life in Jesus Christ.

  2. We have a deep value for the global, multi-ethnic family of God. We want to live in both the intentional diversity locally, and with an aggressive effort to reach every nation globally with the gospel of Jesus. We especially value investing in reaching those who have never been reached with the gospel of Jesus.

  3. We operate with an attitude of humility where we give away credit and prioritize the agenda of God and the vision of others. We believe this brings grace and favor because pride and ambition repels the work of God.

  4. We are Kingdom-oriented in our approach to everything. We want our communities to be transformed here on earth as it is in heaven. So we don’t seek to build our own ‘kingdom’ but to be builders of the Kingdom of God.

  5. We operate at a healthy pace of leadership that mobilizes people toward a vision and maintains ministry momentum.

  6. We want to live the book of Acts, with the gifts and the power of the Holy Spirit in operation, yet we want to function in a way that is non-spooky and non-weird; that sheds the clothing of traditional pentecostal and charismatic traditions.

  7. We are outreach-focused, which means that we keep a serious focus on the discipleship of the believer, but we are constantly planning events and opportunities to invite and invest in those who do not yet know Christ. This outreach focus makes us 'seeker-aware' in all of our public events and services but does not imply that we are going to water down the gospel message or our expectation of the Holy Spirit. It simply means that we think like cross-cultural missionaries and use language and sensitivity to remove unnecessary barriers to the message.

  8. We are committed to creating a leadership pipeline and to the equipping function described in Ephesians 4, with all five of the ministry gifts in operation.

  9. We are intent on multiplying disciples, leaders, and churches.

  10. We are committed to actively serving the needs of our community by mobilizing people and resources to personally make a difference.
